The Coronavirus crisis has had a major impact on the driver training industry, with both in car and classroom training delayed and drastically changed. This document gives candidates and learners the information they need to access our services with confidence and safety.
Lessons and Courses are booked on a provisional basis and may be amended or cancelled without notice. Bookings are being taken for the next month only but may be changed.
Learner Drivers
Due to the national lockdown all driving lessons and tests are currently suspended. We are taking bookings provisionally for a resumption of lessons in March but all bookings are subject to DVSA allowing in car training to take place.
All bookings must be made via www.passngo.net.
Safety Measures in Place
The following safety measures are in place for the resumption of in-car training:
- Mandatory pre-session temperature checks.
- Mandatory face masks. *
- Mandatory sanitising of all contact points in the vehicle.
Learners book lessons in the knowledge that:
- Failing the pre-session temperature check will result in the lesson being cancelled. (Fee refunded)
- Refusing to follow safety procedures, consent to the temperature check or use the correct PPE will result in the lesson being cancelled and the fee not refunded.*
*Face mask requirement will only be waived with proof of a medical exemption.
RPS Driven Media Ltd DOES NOT require learners to have received vaccination against COVID-19 but does insist on correct PPE as a result.
RPS Professional Driver
Driver CPC periodic training courses are currently being delivered by online video conferencing. We continue to deliver Driver CPC hours using Zoom as a platform for learning.
JAUPT have approved our sessions, delivered in conjunction with the Driver CPC 4 U Consortium, for online delivery but this authority is subject to regular renewal. Once JAUPT decide to return to classroom learning, any sessions booked will be re-arranged for a suitable time and date for in-classroom delivery at our Sheffield venue.
Bookings for online delivery sessions include a COVID-19 Online Delivery Discount to reflect the reduction in course facilitation fees. Once JAUPT instruct us to return to the classroom this discount will be withdrawn and the full session price must be paid for the course. All bookings are made in the understanding that the price should remain the same but may increase and the difference must be paid.
