Standard National and Standard International Operators License holders are required to nominate a Transport Manager to have control of their operation. These Transport Managers have to be ‘Professionally Competent’ which is proven by the possession of a Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence, or TM CPC.

The certificates are valid for life, unless the Transport Manager is required by the Traffic Commissioner to take a new TM CPC exam or loses their repute due to infractions.

With day to day responsibility for all aspects of a transport operation, from maintenance to health and safety, from drivers licensing to defects, it is vital that a candidate for a transport manager’s role has knowledge covering a wide range of haulage and road user regulations. The eight day Transport Manager CPC course provides all the knowledge you need to sit and successfully pass the Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence exam.

Course Assessment

Prospective transport managers are required to sit a two part exam before qualifying. The first part of the exam is a multiple choice assessment with a written case studies exam the second part.

The examinations must be taken at an approved centre and on set dates.

The cost of the examinations is £45 + VAT for the multiple choice and £95 + VAT for the Case Studies exam and is not included in the course fee.


Driver CPC

At this time this course does not attract Driver CPC periodic training hours.
