Vehicle Roadworthiness & Rules of the Road
This 7 hour Driver CPC Periodic Training course mixes vehicle maintenance and checks with the Road Traffic Act and how it affects drivers.
In the morning we look at Vehicle Roadworthiness. We discuss the minimum standard set by the DVSA along with best practice. We focus on the drivers role in ensuring compliance and look in depth at the walk around check, the last line of defence against prohibitions.
The afternoon session then looks at the Rules of the Road, especially important with the recent changes to the highway code. We discuss road signs, parking, delivery points and of course, the new Hierarchy of Road Users.
This course is available to LGV and PCV drivers.
