Drivers Hours and Tacho Awareness & Load Safety
Drivers and Transport Managers are well aware that the main issue most companies have maintaining compliance is tachograph infringements. This 7 hour Driver CPC course focuses on drivers hours regulations and the use of tachograph equipment, aiming to reduce the level of non-compliance in your business.
The morning session focuses on Drivers Hours regulations, covering the EU Drivers Hours regulations in depth and discussing AETR journeys along with a section on the UK Domestic Hours regulations. We also discuss the use of digital tachograph equipment, focusing on the Siemens VDO unit and then discussing the differences with other manufacturers.
The afternoon session is all about load security and safety. We focus on the different types of commercial vehicle from flatbeds and curtain siders to reefers and tippers. We also look at different types of load restraint, the load security matrix and the potential penalties for non-compliance.
